Exfoliation Why Would You Not!
Exfoliation should be done twice a week. Exfoliation can take many forms from manual exfoliation to AHA ( alpha hydroxy acids) these are normally left on the skin.
Manual exfoliation should be either a cream or gel with a polished sphere immersed within it. It is very important that the exfoliating beads are polished otherwise the bead will leave striations on the skin, which means it leaves tiny scrap marks on the face. The worse exfoliator to use on the skin is apricot scrub as they use nuts that are just broken and not polished and they leave the skin very sensitized!!!
AHA these are normally biological like papaya or milk. These naturally dissolve the skin. This is normally a very gentle but at the same time it stimulates the skin with helps your cells to wake up and work at a higher capacity.
So exfoliation does a number of things and is a very important part of slowing the aging process. By exfoliating you are stimulating the skin and taking the dead skin which just lies on top of the skin this dead skin gives you a dull complexion and prevents your moisturizer from penetrating into the lower layers of your dermis where it is needed the most. Also the excess dead skin makes wrinkles on the face more prominent so by regularly exfoliating helps minimize the look of wrinkles…..
