So I’m going to change it up a bit this week I’m going to talk about waxing and in particular brazilian wax. When it comes to a typical week for me I do 50 % facials and 50% waxing and as I love skin care I love waxing just as much..
Why should I wax you maybe asking well for first off it is a lot more hygienic then leaving the hair, this is because odors can’t get trapped in the hair.. Second if you are a shaver why have a mans beard down there after a day at least with waxing you get a good 3 weeks before the hair starts to regrow. Wax will also over time kill the follicle making the area patchy leaving less hair..
I won’t lie to you the first three waxes are always the worst cause the hair is well rooted as it has been there for a long time so after waxing for awhile the hair becomes more shallow placed making it easier to remove..
So when you go to book an appointment make sure that you go to a salon that uses hard wax, hard wax is a lot more gentle unlike cheap strip wax which is mainly honey based therefore it soaks into the skin and when removed it takes a layer of skin with it leaving skin stripped and sensitive. Hard wax gently hards around the hair removing it efficiently but gently, most estheticians here will opt for strip wax over hard because it is easier to use and can be faster to use if the esthetician isn’t confident or proficient and also it is cheaper then hard wax..
In my salon I believe you are only as good as the product you use so thats why I use Lycon wax.. This is the best on the market at the moment it is a gel based lavender wax which very gently and efficiently..
